The film has recently finished postproduction and will soon begin its national and international film festival release. It explores the sublime bond between people and their land through a landmark architectural undertaking by one of New Zealand’s most passionately independent Māori tribes, Ngāi Tūhoe.

{Suite} Gallery is pleased to announce the debut of a collaborative exhibition of Tame Iti and Birgit Krippner.

Tame Iti is well known as a a high profile Tūhoe Māori. He will exhibit his most recent paintings. Birgit, a Wellington based photographer who has shown her work nationally and internationally over the last few years, will be showing her latest photographs of Tame Iti and Te Urewera of Tūhoe nation. Both artists will attend the opening.

(Meaning of Iti: Small but/and large. Tūhoe meaning: Humbleness. In background.)

​Private View: Since June 5th 2011, I’ve been working on a project, photographing New Zealand artists and gallery owners in their space. Some of these artists are well known and established, some others are new and emerging talents.


This body of work was exhibited from 10th April until 5th May 2013, at Black Barn Gallery in Hawke's Bay of New Zealand.


Past exhibitions 2011:

New York, NY:​ (August 2011):  Artforum Magazine (New York) published two of my photographs in their Artforum magazine online issue. These photos were taken at the Auckland Art Fair, which was a fantastic event to visit.


Le Domaine Saint Hilaire, France:  I am exited to announce that seven of my photographs are currently being exhibited in France from June 30th until September 3rd.


Paris, France  (July/August 2011):  23 of my New York photographs got published in the French Online Art Magazine BSC (go to page 34):


Napier, New Zealand:  My photo exhibition “DIVERSE” can be seen at the Photographers’ Gallery Hawke’s Bay ( in Napier/New Zealand, until early August. 13 photographs of New Zealand, Europe and New York are on display.


Past exhibitions 2010:

BERLIN: My latest exhibition in Europe was the World-Premier of my exhibition “DIVERSE” in Berlin at Monochrom
( I was showing 25 of my photographs.


PARIS: The new Leica store in Paris exhibited 15 of my photographs.

The above exhibition ended October 13th 2010.
